Don Kişot’suz Don KişotKarakterler yazara kızıp kitaptan kaçarsa!Cervantes klasiklerin tahtında oturadursun; biz edebiyat tarihinin en neşeli başkaldırısına bilet kesiyoruz!Hepimiz o hikâyeyi ezbere biliyoruz: İdealist bir deli şövalye, yel değirmenlerine savaş açar, dayak…
Don Quixote Without Don Quixote
What happens when the characters get mad at the author and escape the book?
While Cervantes sits comfortably on the throne of classics, we are selling tickets to the most cheerful rebellion in literary history!
We all know that story by heart: An idealistic mad knight wages war on windmills, takes beating after beating, and risks everything for the unseen “Princess Dulcinea”.
What if things actually didn’t happen that way at all?
A FIRST in world theater history: Don Quixote is not missing from the stage… He is there, but not like you know him at all!
Sancho Panza, the most absurd and long-suffering squire in literary history, recounts one by one the crushing defeats his master faced against windmills, flocks of sheep, and wine skins. But to whom? To Dulcinea, the sharp-witted peasant girl whom Don Quixote lost his mind over, who in reality smells of manure and grape must.
Can there be a Don Quixote story without Don Quixote? Yes, and what a story it is!
Can a novel character stage a sweet rebellion against their author and change their destiny? Cervantes would certainly roll his eyes, but yes; the ideal and the real meet for the first time!
From the passion of making a helmet out of a barber’s basin to squires dressing as women, from funeral halva being spooned up to giants drowning in a sea of wine… Literature’s most glorious story transforms into a fast-paced adult comedy from a completely UNHEARD-OF angle.
Tipping our hats with a huge smile to master Cervantes’s dear memory, we invite all our audience to this show where madness and wit, classics and the absurd collide right in the middle of the stage.
