Mugla Ranks Third in Immovable Cultural Heritage

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) has released the Cultural Heritage Statistics for the year 2025. Based on the official figures announced, the total number of museums across the country experienced a 4.4 percent increase in 2025 compared to the previous year, reaching 664.

The latest statistics also highlighted Mugla's prominent position in heritage distribution. Accordingly, Mugla secured the third spot among all provinces in Turkey with the highest concentration of immovable cultural assets.
