Bringing together different branches of culture and art in Mentese for four days, the 33rd International Mugla Culture and Art Festival came to an end with a concert by the Guatemala Embassy Ensemble. Despite the cold weather, residents filled the City Square and enjoyed a final night featuring traditional Guatemalan melodies and pieces from various musical genres.

The guest artist of the evening was Guatemalan pianist and composer Roberto Pérez Chamalé. Chamalé delivered a memorable musical night by performing his country's traditional music on the piano. One of the highlights of the concert was Chamalé's rendition of Asik Veysel's unforgettable Turkish folk masterpiece "Uzun Ince Bir Yoldayim," which received great acclaim from the audience.

The concert was attended by Mentese Mayor Gonca Koksal Aras, Mugla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras, Guatemalan Ambassador Eduardo Enrique Hernandez Recinos, the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkey, international organization representatives, and numerous citizens. Mayor Gonca Koksal Aras reminded attendees that they invited the ambassador during a municipal visit in July and expressed happiness that the invitation was fulfilled.

Mugla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras stated that they had discussed cultural cooperation during previous talks with the ambassador and successfully brought it to life with this event. The evening concluded with a plaque presentation to pianist and composer Roberto Pérez Chamalé and flowers given to Guatemalan Ambassador Eduardo Enrique Hernandez Recinos.
